With reference to our letter of the 20th

of February 1915, I have the honour to enclose a

valuation of the stocks held by us as security for

the note issue of the Mercantile Bank of India in

Hong Kong, together with a copy of a letter from

that Bank as to the notes in circulation and the

amount of coin deposited with the Colonial Treasurer

on the 1st of January 1915.

2. The value of the securities exceeds the

amount required by £32,885.118.2d.
